Arielle | Glamour Women's Portraiture - Victoria Lawrence Images, Huntsville, Al: High school Senior Photographer

One of the most incredible & rewarding parts of my job is seeing the way the final product impacts people. With seniors, they are usually nervous but still excited to see a glimpse of themselves as they are now. For their parents, it’s the heartbreaking realization that their child is changing & ready to go off into the world. When it comes to shooting women’s portraiture, I found that they are often the most anxious. They usually have more to lose. It’s a very vulnerable feeling getting in front of a camera & showing it all of your pre-conceived flaws. While praying all the while with every weird contortion that your photographer is as good with posing as she thinks she is. It is an honor to capture every one who steps in front of my lens, from the Executive looking to re-brand, to an Actor looking to make it big. Even though this blog mainly markets to high-school seniors it is a special honor to be able to hit pause on the seniors & capture a demographic that embodies beauty and grace, women .

A little bit about the Shoot & the Subject:

Arielle & I have been dreaming about a this shoot for two years now. It started as a pipe dream, as a “Tori, when your photography skills get up to where we need them to be, let’s do glamour shoot!”. So, through trading pins on Pinterest, to stocking up expensive dresses for over a year, we FINALLY had set the date & booked our amazeballs hair & makeup people, for first of June.

Arielle is one of my many cousins. She is never-changing, ever-loyal, oldest out of all 13 cousins & she is our rock. Lover of all things vintage, she is the perfect definition of an “old soul”. She is constantly keeping all 9 of her siblings in line & is her Mom’s right hand woman. Arielle helped raise me & my brother Joey, showed me how to be a lady & is forever teaching me to how to respond with love in the most difficult situations… I couldn’t think of a better person more deserving of a “Beautiful” Experience. I love my cousin very much & I am THRILLED to be able to show the world Arielle’s own kind of beautiful…<3
